Prior to joining Deslauriers & Co, Me Levinson was a commissioner for the Quebec Agricultural Land Protection Commission. Previously, he was a partner and advisor to one of Canada’s largest firms, where he served in the real estate department for thirty-eight years. Early in his career, Michael practiced notarial law at one of Montreal’s most prestigious notary firms.
Michael has held various positions in professional and community organizations. He has served as advisor to the Montreal Bar Council, member of the Montreal Bar’s Committee on Access to Justice in English, member of the Quebec Civil Code Review Committee, President of the Lord Reading Law Association, director of the Bishop University Corporation, member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Montreal Association for the Blind, member of the Board of Directors of the Maimonide Geriatric Centre Foundation and Commodore of the Yacht Club Lord Reading.
He was awarded, along with others, the Quebec Bar Merit for his contribution to the review of the Quebec Civil Code and named in The Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada for real estate.
Michael is married to Bonnie Berlin and has three sons.
